I'll start.
10. She pays for things with $2 bills because she thinks it makes her seem "fun" and "quirky".

9. She calls our house on Saturday or Sunday mornings
between 7:30 and 8:00 am - for no apparent reason or
"just to talk" to "her Ted" or to see how "her babies"
are doing. AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
8. She never removes anything from the walls of her home once it's been hung up. She still has a mask my husband made in high school art class hanging up. The man's 38.
7. She never has 13 people at her house for christmas/easter dinner because it is bad luck. If she invited 14 and one failed to show, she will immediatley call someone she does not like to come over.
6. Everyday she vacuums the entire house, including outside the guest room, where my husband and I stay, each time we visit. At 5:30 in the morning.
5. My MIL won't buy cherry tomatoes because they are anywhere from $2.49 to $3.49 per container...but will have no problem going to a garage sale and spending $20 on things she already owns (like placemats and towels).
4. My MIL has taken all of the plaques off any trophies even won by any family member (FIL, MIL, Hubby, SIL, BIL) in their entire lives, and has mounted them together on one massive piece of wood - which she then hung up in our house (which she does not live in). I moved it to another room so I don't have to look at the ugly thing every day.
3. When she comes to visit she will go to the grocery store and buy 2 bananas, 1 roll of toilet paper, 2 apples, 1/4 # of lunch meat, etc. so as not to appear that she is imposing.
2. When she and my FIL do our dishes (to earn their keep), rather than ask where things go or look to find where things go, or simply leave items on the counter for me to put away, they put dishes and food in strange places without telling me. Once there were plastic bowls put in the stove (Yes I did preheat without looking). And just last week, the butter dish (with butter inside) was put in the cupboard with the glasses.
1. Says "we" whenever talking about herself. She is a widow and lives alone, but its always "we".
